Before you start your tanning journey, there are a few things to consider:

Knowing your skin type is an important factor. Everyone will have had different sun tanning experiences. If you’ve never achieved a tan whilst sunbathing outdoors, then you are at risk of overexposure and burning even within the controlled environment of a sunbed. If you are unsure of your skin type, then why not try our “Skin Type Finder.”

DO NOT use a sun bed if:
  • You are under 18 years old.
  • You burn in natural sun light.
  • You are using any medications which cause photosensitivity- Please consult your GP or Pharmacist for advice before tanning.
  • You have a medical condition which is exacerbated by exposure to UV/ sunlight.
  • You have many freckles and/ or moles.
  • You or an immediate family member have history of skin cancer.

Pregnancy can make your skin more sensitive than usual, which can make you more prone to burning in natural sunlight or on a sunbed. It is also important not to overheat whilst pregnant and we advise extreme caution whilst using a sunbed.

Once you know your skin type and have a tanning goal in mind, you can achieve a deep, dark tan by following our tanning regime.
